Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What does FP7 mean?
A. FP7 is the abbreviation of the Framework Programme 7. It is the funding programme of the European Commission that runs from 2007 until 2013.
Q. What is the duration of the I-C-EU project?
A. The project duration is 2 years. It started on 1 October 2012 and will finish on 31 September 2014. However, the results, i.e. outputs and deliverables in this webpage will be kept accessible to public up to three years after the project’s end.
Q. Who are the formal project partners?
A. The project is led by Belgium (TML) and partnered by the Netherlands (Panteia BV-NEA), the Netherlands (VU), Germany (Fraunhofer CML), Poland (UG), and Spain (FEDEA).
Q. Which stakeholders are involved in the project?
A. The I-C-EU Consortium selects and invites several stakeholders to participate in its Workshops. The Project defines several groups of stakeholders, i.e. industry and professional participants, consultants, NGO/lobby group, policy makers, and academicians. The selection is made by considering the balance between the different categories of stakeholder as well as the suitability with each of the workshop’s theme. One month after the first workshop, with the approval from the European Commission, the Consortium will make a definite member list of the Associated Partner Group (APG) consisting of stakeholders who will support the Consortium not only by attending the workshops but also in providing information, guidelines and reviewing deliverables.
Q. My institution belongs to one of the above stakeholder categories and I’m interested to participate in the I-C-EU Project. What should I do?
A. You are welcomed to contact the Project coordinator, Joko Purwanto. The Consortium will later decide how your institution could participate in the project, i.e. to invite your institution to attend the workshops or further to join the APG. As it is a European project, our focus is mainly on European stakeholders. Non-European participants are not excluded, though, because the topic concerns as well the relation between EU and the rest of the world.
